"Nocturne Ritual" is a performance and video work that fuses song and dance, inspired by the liminal space between dreaming and wakefulness. Emphasising a minimalist aesthetic, the work explores the act of listening from a balcony or window, creating a harmonious ecosystem in which urban and natural sounds intertwine with a dreamlike melody. Through a simple but persistent dance, and using voice, text and field recordings, Alessandra Eramo immerses herself in an indeterminate space and time. As a listener-performer, she combines human, animal and natural sounds - both imaginary and real - to enter a dimension of the infinite and the sacred, while exploring human-nature relationships. The video presents a fluid appearance of nocturnal creatures, evoking a multifaceted chorus of emotions.
